Toy Investigations
The students are exploring inventors and inventions. They have read about numerous inventions and even learned how the Frisbee was created. We tested different types of Frisbees and then chose a product to improve. We discussed the risks and benefits of each and drew a picture of the new and improved invention.
We then read about Leo Cockroach, The Toy Tester. We learned how important it is to test toys for fun and safety. Students tested two toys and rated them in each category. We created graphs to show our results and then discussed how toy manufacturers might decide which toys to make. We had fun being concerned consumers.
