After looking at parts of an animal cell, the students created the traditional jello cell and labeled the parts. I gave them materials and they were able to decide which material would be best to use for the cytoplasm, cell membrane, nucleus, and vacuoles. I think their favorite part of the project was eating it. Imagine that!
